A Sunset, a Tent, and Us: Our 4th Wedding Anniversary Escape 🌅⛺

For our 4th wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to celebrate it a little differently—by traveling from Coron to Busuanga, Palawan and spending the night at the peaceful Rio Playa Beach Resort in Old Busuanga.

The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by their friendly bartender with refreshing welcome drinks. After settling in, we took a slow walk around the resort, soaking in the calm atmosphere while waiting for the sunset to paint the sky.

At around 5 PM, just as the sun began to set, we made a bold and exciting decision—we set up our tent by the beach. Instead of booking a room, we chose a more thrilling experience, and honestly, it made the night even more special. Once the tent was up, the fun really began. We had a sing-along session using our speaker and microphone, shared laughter, and even enjoyed night swimming under the stars.

Early the next morning, around 5 AM, I woke up to an incredible view. The moon was still glowing, and in the distance, I could see fishermen quietly working out at sea—a moment of peace I’ll never forget. When my wife woke up at 6 AM, we prepared for another adventure as we packed up and got ready to head to Ocam-Ocam Beach for our second day of travel.

This trip reminded us that anniversaries don’t have to be extravagant—sometimes, all you need is a tent, a beach, a sunset, and the person you love.

Our Day 2 adventure continues in my next blog. 🌊✨
